IMO the best places for a girl are:
Hips
Nape of neck
Lower abdomen

it depends on what you want to get and how big you want it to be. there are many "perfect spots" it just depends. also how visible would you want it to be? i am a huge fan of ribcage tattoos. as well as full back tattoos. sleeves, leg sleeves. pretty much anything but the face. not that i don't like facial tattoos, i just think they aren't for the everyday person. there is a social stigma with having tattoos in such a visible place. i have no idea where my next tattoos will end up. i am wrestling with my legs or arms... i'm thinking legs.

Let me see I think that if you want everybody to see the tatoo you may put it in your hand so everyone could see it which wouldn't look good for me but if i would be you i would put one in my back or next to my hip cause i think it would look nice right there i think that in the back of your shoulders would be nice or in your hip

it depends on the size, if you want everyone to see or only special people, how much pain you can tolerate etc.... I searched a tattoo site a long time ago that had a list of the top ten places to get a tattoo on your body and then the top ten most painful places to get the tattoo.... I'd try searching ink blogs and stuff ;o) GL if your getting one!

Personally for a chick i love lower back or neck tattoos(very sexy)
or on a guy i think arm and shoulder tats are hot...and remember tribal rocks and so does a touch personality in a piece of art

Well, do you want it to be seen, or hidden? I have several tattoos, but I wanted them hidden. I am a police dispatcher, so I didn't want any of them to be obvious. I have below the shoulder-length hair, so I had one done on the left side of my neck, behind my ear. That way, at work no one sees it, but when I ride my motorcycle, I always have my hair in a ponytail, so it can be easily seen (my wild side). I also have one on the small of my back, and one below my ankle bone on the inside of my foot. I know they are there, I had them done for me, anyway!

Um, if your a girl and you want a small tatoo, it's reallly pretty on your ankle or on your lower back or on your hip bone. If it's big, on your shoulders. If your a boy and it's small, on your wrist. If it's big, shoulder or middle back.

Please, please, think twice about the ubiquitous lower-back-tattoo trend! Cute when you're twentysomething and hot, not so much when you're 65 with a gut and saggy, wrinkly skin. Actually, this advice goes for lots of potential tattoo spots: think about areas that are likely to sag and age the most. Then put the tattoo somewhere else.

i might could say the superb place for a guy may well be on the shoulder blades, and the sexiest may well be your area protecting your ribs. it incredibly is extremely painful, yet seems magnificent!
