I'd say people who care about the welfare and humanity of other HUMAN BEINGS aren't being selfcentered at all.

I don't care what political party these nut cases are attached to, they are a bunch of touchy feely liberals who are clueless.
I helped close a business. Landscaping and Lawn Care was the name. When it costs a man $41-$44 a lawn in various taxes, insurance, worker comp, salary and equipment costs, there is no way he can compete against illegals who have no insurance or tax liability etc. These illegals charge $30 - $35 for the same job. It is a great deal, until someone gets hurt. When that happens the homeowner is on the hook for all the bills. And said home owner will probably pass it off to welfare.
I'm sorry these "hard working", "honest" people were born in Mexico, China or anywhere else but their plight does not give them the right to rape me. And, I'll tell you I have been raped.
I could turn this into a very large magazine article or a small book but the only ones who would read it are the ones who already know the damage the illegal population has caused.
I have a son-in-law in a western state. He is a native born citizen. He owes back child support and has a day to day fight to keep his drivers license so he can get to and from work legally. He won't, and I'm glad, drive without a license and insurance. At the same time that states legislature is doing everything it possibly can to give illegals the same license they are trying to withhold from him. This whole situation just sucks.
Something can be done about the illegal situation. But we can't hogtie every law enforcement person in the country and still do it. They must be free to pursue leads and deport in an expedient manner those found here unlawfully. And the border must be sealed. That is another matter but it can happen too.
No one needs to even try to tell me we can’t do something. We built atomic weapons in record time under wartime conditions and we built a space program from nothing to walking on the moon in little more than a decade. No, no one needs to even try because I KNOW better.
You sure got me going, didn't you?

Yes, I really think they are. All they really know and care about is them, what they want. No they really do not look at long range amnesty, that all of the illegals, once given amnesty will get to bring in family. I've said for a long time, you must take the 12 to 20 million times about from 5 to 10. So no, in the end they do not and never will care about us nor our country.

They talk about caring for their fellow humans.Well guess what all legal Americans are my fellow human beings and I care about them.I care about my nation and my fellow Americans more than I do any illegal alien from any country.I don't want to call the pro supporters anything. They have a right to their wrong views. This nation can only support so many poor people and I prefer my tax dollar go to help a legal American, that needs help, not an illegal alien that has no right to be here in the first place. And doesn't give a damn about this nation.
Amnesty would be disastrous for the USA.Just because Bush tells us there will be none doesn't mean anything.Hes been a liar.about other things.A guest worker program without limits would be the same as amnesty to the majority of illegals.
We must secure our borders before any type of action is started. That's the only way to start to solve this huge problem .

I am pro immigration reform. I am not pro amnesty. I am not a self centered person so the answer to the question is no. I am well educated and very aware of the effects of illegal immigration. I am also intelligent enough to realize that mass deportation will not happen so we need to do the best we can to address the problem of illegal immigration. The POTUS stated there would no amnesty granted so I am surprised to see so many still asking amnesty questions.

I am a pro and will admitt that i'm a tad self centered but that mostly has to do with the fact that i'm an only child and just too darn cute for my own good.So don't blame my stance on immigration but blame society that has made me this way. lol

If only we can somehow show them what it would really be like if amnesty were to go into effect.

Whats funny -- they all want those who are here to stay, but they wont admit that this means an open border, and they never say what to do about those who will sneak in tomorrow.

Of course we care about this country. A country that is based on equality for all regardless of race, ethnicity or anything other than a persons worth.
A persons immigration status should have nothing to do with their right to remain in this country. Anyone who opposes this is going against the basic foundation of this country.

I am very self centered and thanks to my capitalistic mentallity, what is good for me is good for the country. If I wanted to place what is good for society ahead of what is good for me, I would have snuck into Cuba. Communists make me sad.
