I'm going crazy folks..lol I don't know if I should choose Plasma or Sony SXRD....I will be using it mostly for movie viewing, playing xbox 360 and hd view from dish network. Which of these tv's will take advantage of these 3 things.

It really depends on the particular make and model you're considering. Personally, I prefer the quality of teh SXRD, but that's a matter of taste. It's also important whether you want a flat panel or not (depends on how much space you have for TV) since SXRD is not a flat panel. One negative thing I've found about the SXRD is a green blob problem discussed here:

I don't have a personal experience with this problem, but this is one thing that keeps me from buying an SXRD (I'm thinking of buying a DLP instead, which is also cheaper).

Also, in general if you want to do a lot of research before you buy, check out www.avsforum.com. Lots of useful information there.

Final comment: you can get TVs for much cheaper if you buy online. Just check out amazon.com, they have great customer service, free shipping, and you won't have to pay sales tax unless you live in the state of Washington.

The Sony regularly gets top marks in reviews and since you didn't spec a plasma brand, I'd go with the Sony. It should use less power, too, and you can get the really big 70 in one for a lot less than a 70 in plasma.
