Hi there. He may have had his wings clipped before you acquired him. Some do this every 6 months. The feathers will grow back, they are cut so that the bird can glide down if it falls. If you allow them to grow back, escape from your home is common. A professional breeder or avian vet can clip them right. The choice is yours Have a tweet year.

You don't give very much information, did you just get the bird? If so the longer flight wings were probably trimmed. They will grow back when the bird molts. If you have had the bird for awhile, and he's gone through a molt and his wings didn't grow back they have been pinioned, which means the roots of the wing feathers have been cut, and the bird will not fly, this is illegal. Contact your vet or humane society, they can investigate where the bird came from. and prosecute the people who did this.

The bird probably injured its flight feathers one way or another. As long as the wings are flapping and there is no wing damage the feathers will grow back in a few weeks and it will fly again. As far as the rodents. Once you discover them you have an infestation and a cat will never never never keep up. Buy one bite kills poison and put it everywhere a creature can access it. They will die off and when new ones come they will go to the Poison before the bird food.

Your first answer is incorrect.
Bird feathers don't grow like fur or hair. Once or twice a year (depending on the species) birds lose all their feathers and they grow back new and whole. It's called molting.
Once the bird molts, he should be able to fly.

Yes, of course they will grow back. I have parakeets of my own and they couldnt fly at first since their wings were clipped. If it can jump pretty high, then it should fly soon.

Yes, they will grow back. I have a miniature parrolet and I clip some of his wings so he can not fly and hurt himself. They grow back pretty fast.
