See, I'm making a dinner for my parents, and I'm making steak (really good Kansas City Gourmet Steaks), Baked potatoes, and brownies with like Icecream for dessert.
But I also bought a bunch of raw broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower. Normally, I would simply boil them, but is there another way to cook them? Like roast them or...I dunno just do something better, and more tasty than simply boiling them?
Thanks.

Steam the broccoli ( in the microwave if you wish with just a little water in a covered dish ) drain then grate cheddar cheese over it while still hot add a pinch of salt, a dsh of pepper and serve it before it gets cold.
Serve the carrots in sticks with the cauliflower and some broccoli raw with ranch dressing for dipping.
Simple but good.

For Broccoli:
Broccoli Salad:
INGREDIENTS
10 slices bacon
1 head fresh broccoli, cut into bite size pieces
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sunflower seeds
DIRECTIONS
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine the broccoli, onion and raisins. In a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar, sugar and mayonnaise. Pour over broccoli mixture, and toss until well mixed. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
Before serving, toss salad with crumbled bacon and sunflower seeds.
For Cauliflower:
Steam the cauliflower in micro or steamer, then melt velveeta cheese over it.
For Carrots - family recipe from my grandmother.
Clean and cut up a small bag of carrots into about 1/4 inch slices. Put them in a pan with a stick of butter, about 4 cloves chopped garlic, small chopped onion, 2 chicken bouillion cubes and enough water to cover the carrots. Bring to a boil, then cut back to simmer and let it all cook until the water is gone and it is reduced to a butter sauce. YUMMMY!!!!

I would actually suggest raw over the homecooked but home cooked is still better than what they offer you at the pet food store. I looked into homecooked diet look at the books out thier that suggest natural health for cats and dogs they have very helpfull recipeis but when you cook the food you seem to have to add tons of supplements. There are a few recipie books too but the one I got was rather complicated and the ingredients were strange and you were supposed to add bone meal so I thought why not just go raw. I think you are on the right track for homeade food but I would say no milk use yogurt instead

Bake them in a cheese sauce. Sorry I don't have the exact measurements, but you add milk, Velveeta cheese and white pepper and a little onion to a saucepan. Stir until melted together and pour over your veggies. You could add some breadcrumbs on top, and bake it in the oven for about 30-40 mins.

Well it would be yummy if you wrap them in foil paper and make them indiviual serving size. Then put butter in them and put int eh oven for about 20 to 25 minutes. and make sure you put whatever spices you want with them. depending on how tender you want them do 300degrees

You could make a "pouch" with foil and put them in that with butter and maybe a few light seasonings and broil them a bit.
