(and not everyone is using the syytem cause they are lazy) YET no one gets angry when their tax dollars go to fund abortions?
You would rather have your tax dollars go for killing unborn babies and providing abortions but hate the fact that tax dollars might go to feed a child whose mother just came out of a bad relationship and needs welfare to get on her feet again? MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!

If people would do some research to learn where their tax dollars are spent, I don't think welfare moms would head the list.

How does a dung beetle's sex life impact my well-being? What do I need from a study on angora goat hair?

The perception people have of a mother on welfare is skewed because they have never lived in those conditions and see only what they want to see.

They say the mothers should be educated. Ok. First, find me a decent day care that I can afford that doesn't involve my riding four buses to get from home to day care to school.

Next, help me pay for a bus pass so I can ride to the office that is providing me a grant but needs voluminous paperwork which adds to my riding back and forth across the city because of course that office couldn't be centrally located.

I'm back home, the kids are hungry and want to tell me about their day. I should have stopped at the grocery on the way home because Timmy spilled the milk this morning and we need more. But with the two little ones with me on the bus along with a book bag and a diaper bag, I just didn't feel up to it.

Next, I need clothes. I don't have a decent winter coat. What the heck...I don't have a winter coat period. And boots. I hope we don't have much snow this year.

Sorry... I get way off track when thinking about this topic...

Well, what makes me mad is that in the USA, the tax dollars really go to middle class day care providers and the welfare mom is told to dump her kids, the most vulnerable kids in society, into day care and she has to go work, usually at subminimum wage.

In Europe, it's not considered welfare, it's considered civilization that a mother stay with her infant and toddler and the society pays money to all moms.

If we had a decent enough society, fewer abortions would happen. However, what tax dollars go for abortion in the USA?

"a unmarried mom going to college." With what money? no longer some unmarried moms stripped to pay for college i do not see a difficulty with stripping in the experience that they so go with. it is a job, it get's money and keeps their little ones fed, and she or he's incomes it honesty. i do not recognize what all and sundry is speaking about 'getting an straightforward job'. i recognize they're going to go with some thing better interior the destiny, yet you could't tell your little ones now to not devour immediately so that you'll devour properly day after today. Or a week from now. although lengthy it takes. Crashing into welfare isn't a foul component, it is why it is there, it is a protection information superhighway should you fall. yet what do you do even as the internet catches you? You get out of it. the protection information superhighway isn't a hammock.

I get angry that our tax dollars fund abortion because our government shouldn't be supporting murder.

I get angry at people who ABUSE the welfare system. I know of many who say, live with the baby's father and claim that they don't get any money from him & that he doesn't live there.. or defraud the government by working under the table and collecting money.. or women who carelessly continue to get pregnant because they didn't really want a baby, they were just screwing around with a bunch of guys and we continue to support their bad choices. Or women who choose to live with their boyfriend and plan a pregnancy and CHOOSE not to get married (even though they say they want to be with him forever) because they know they will no longer qualify for assistance. I know someone who did that and when her baby was born, finally did marry him.

The other problem are the people who CHOOSE not to help themselves and feel they are "entitled" to government services.

I don't have a problem with our tax dollars helping families who just struggle and are trying to make it. We've had to get help from the government when my husband was laid off and I was 8 months pregnant with our 4th child. We only took what we needed while we needed it, even though we qualified for more.

Maybe because our tax dollars are also out there in the forms of grants and scholarships to people who need it to get a better education. I worked three jobs to put myself through college, became a single mother (as a result of a bad relationship), and managed to do it all without anyone giving me their hard-earned money. If I can do it, so can everyone else.

And you are wrong in your assumption that no one gets angry over abortions. Have you seen the news???

well i'm not for abortions, and i'm not for those people who want to get on welfare and there husbands/boyfriends or theirselfs don't want to work either. here i am 22 yrs. old i got my cdl at 21 me and my husband has been separated for 2 years we have two children. we both live in different states. I am 5ft. 106pds and I drive a dump truck and make okay money enough to barely survive and i stay with my mom . I am not against it when their are people who are doing the best they can for theirselves, but I don't appreciate my tax dollars going to dead beat people who want to live on the system and want to set at home on there *** while i am busting my *** everyday 12 and 14 hours a day working. and i don't agree to my tax dollars going to abortions at all!!!
so that is my problem with it !!

I have no issue with my tax dollars going to help someone who really needs help. That's why the system was put in place to begin with.

I resent people who own a home, drive a brand new $70,000 SUV and collect Medicaid. Why should THEY get a free ride on my back when sometimes I can barely make my rent? What makes them better than me - except for they know how to bilk the system?

For all you MEN out there!!! How is it that young men who FATHER a child DO NOT SUPPORT that child?? Let's face it!!! The LAW DOES NOT force a man to pay child support!!! And yes!! That is a BIG PART of WHY tax dollars go to support children!!!! I was working full time & going in the hole every payday...... yet, the FATHER of my children; sat by & did nothing. The court doesn't do anything!! They just sent me to the WELFARE OFFICE BECAUSE HE REFUSED to help SUPPORT the children HE HELPED MAKE!!

So, before the tax payers get pissed....... they should be SUPPORTING MORE LAWS TO FORCE the FATHER to pay child support!!

It does not bother me if someone gets welfare or foodstamps. If they need them that is good and even if they don't you should still get all you can get because of how the state takes so much out of people's checks every week.
