I bet if he met a hot new chick he would get her something nice. I bet you don't forget his birthday. You are giving way too much in this relationship and he is taking you for granite. Since you have put up with this for two years already why would he change his ways. Either get use to being with a such a guy or move on. Believe me I know what I am talking about. I have been married for 37 years. On our 35th anniversary he promised to do something special....what did I get? Zip,Nadaa, Zero. He knew how disappointed I was, yet for the next two years...Zip, Nadaa, Zero. Do you want to be me in the future?

Do not worry about that! Who cares about a stupid present! It's better not to get one than get one you wouldn't enjoy. And a card? Come on! Card doesn't tell you if someone cares about you or not! It's just a piece of paper! If you really want him to put some effort in getting you something why don't you buy him something first, something little he would enjoy and then, I am sure, he will give you a small something back.
Good luck!

This situation has to make you feel like your an awful gf. He needs to learn to appreciate the fact that your his gf and sometimes it would be nice (for him) to acknowledge that! You deserve to have SOMETHING on special occasions. Tell him how this makes you feel. If nothing changes go out and by something for yourself and don't go out of your way on special occasions for him. If you don't deserve nothing neither does he.

you dont have to force him tell him how it makes you feel to receive something from him. That you feel love and cherish him so much that the gift becomes an extension of him that you can take with you. You know milk it!

Guys don't really get the hint so you need to say something. Like tell him what your favorite kind of flower is or just say you would like get that watch someday.

he sounds like a cheapskate. when you get married and have kids, if he can't put his wallet where his emotions are then he isn't worth your time.
he'll leave you working at the 5 and dime trying to support the kids while he spends his money on hookers.
tell him to pay up or get out.

He might just be into you for the physical. So for other things he's not. Tell him that you're rethinking about your relationship. See how he reacts? Or maybe he doesn't even know that you care about these things?

Do you buy him stuff?? Because if he is not receiving, he may not feel like giving.
