Like you said, as far as YOU can tell. In other words, based upon the information that you have acquired up to this point, you have reached the conclusion thatall religions are equally valid.
Perhaps, with the acqisition of more information, you would reach a different conclusion.
It comes down to this: IF the Bible and its claims are true, then Christianity IS the only valid religion. I have taken the time, to examine the claims of the Bible in the light of what we obsereve to be true in life and nature and have found them to be in complete harmony. If you would take the time to do the same, maybe you would come to the same conclusion.

Those of The True Christian Faith know, with absolute certainty, that God exists and that The Truth Given them by God, at the instant of Their Salvation, is The Truth. It is God who validates, is The Proof of, the Messiah and Prohecies... and The Truth of The Salvation Message. The "Faith" of those of The Faith in The prophecies and Jesus The Christ is based on The Fact of God's existance and His promise to each of his own of the certainty of Their Salvation.

I think it's more correct if you ask : Why do most Americans think that there religion is the only one to be 'validated' by prophecies, a messiah, etc?

Our Lord and Savior, The Christ, The Messiah is the only one that offers a means of salvation. He's the only one that defied death. He's the only one that foretold all. He's the only one claiming to be The Truth. Jews are still looking for theirs. Islam doesn't have one. Satanists have themselves. The only way to Our Heavenly Father is through His Son. We can claim it because Jesus did.
May God Bless you.

How could anyone who believes in Christ think any other way? We are followers of Jesus and believe what He told us about how to get to the Father. Jesus paid a big price if it is just for a few people. What god has ever said that he died for the WHOLE world, not just a select few. Did Buddha die to save me? No. Did some pagan god, die for me? No. That is the point when God in His written word tells the whole world that Christ died for them, how can we believe in another? That would make us something other than Christian. What you take as arrogance is really a definite trust in our faith in Christ.

Why do you think arrogance in religion is only the domain of the Christians?

Everyone thinks they are right. It is not arrogant. It would be arrogant to think we are right in every single matter, both secular and sacred.

That is not just a Christian thing. You find that in every faith that has broken down into sects, including Judaism and Islam.
