I don't really mind too much, I'm 10 months older than him which isn't a huge difference, but I'm afraid we'll be made fun of. Should I just ignore other people and date anyway?

In case someone doesn't know, freshman is 9th grade in high school and sophomore is 10th grade in high school. :)

You're only young once, and you should enjoy yourself while you are.
I know it's tough advice for a teenager to follow, but you should just ignore what other people think and go for what makes you happy - a good lesson not just for this situation, but life in general.

Yeah, it is excellent you at the on the spot are not even a three hundred and sixty 5 days aside. One grade isn't that plenty in any appreciate. and that i'm a kind of those who thinks age does topic even as you're a snug human being, even though it is maximum efficient even if it is 2 or more desirable years. My boyfriend is 7 months youthful than me (equivalent grade even if), i became born in 1993, and he became born in 1994. Our age does no longer topic, we do make jokes about be being an older woman, although our age has no longer some thing to do with our relationship. Him being youthful than me hasn't affected our relationship in any appreciate. we've been completely happy for 2 years. also, no one has ever made a needed commentary about our (there have been some jokes about me relationship a minor even as i became 18 and he became 17) although 7 months isn't some thing. So, it will be the equivalent for you at 8 months older.

You're one grade apart! High school is so weird, I never understood it. In the real world married couples may differ by years but in high school it's a sin to date a freshman if you're an upperclassman. It's a load of crap and you should date him if you want to; clearly anybody that makes fun of you has problems if that's what they're concerned about.

Yeah, go for it! More and more older girls are dating younger guys, it's getting more accepted. Plus 10 months is nothing, and if people make fun of you, they're stupid just ignore them.

Yeah dont pay attention to other people..If you like this guy go for it..there isnt anything wrong with dating a younger guy!!! If they make fun its only cause they jealous!!

Its only a year right? i mean why is it okay for older guys to date younger women but not vise versa? i think that if hes sweet and you like him because of who he is (not cause your dispirit) then go for it =)
