I'm not sure if I have it but my mother is the most neurotic people I've known.

I don't think doctors use the word "neurosis" anymore, but the doctor would probably ask your mother if she has panic attacks, feeling of a lump in the throat, being afraid of other people or of going outside, heart beating too fast, worrying about things and not being able to stop, etc. That's some of the main symptoms, there are others. Then the doctor would ask how long the person felt like that, and if the symptoms cause problems in the person's life. If it's gone on for at least three months, and if the doctor think's it severe enough, he or she might prescribe medication.

I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

There are certain symptoms and the way you act.Your reactions towards a specific thing,they run plenty of tests.Your stress level is a big factor,how much sleep your getting.How many if any anxiety attacks you've had over the past six months,etc.
