He broke up with me after 8 months saying that he couldn't do the forever thing and that he was only 20. We are still friends right now...close friends. We see each other everyday, talk on the phone at least three times a day, eat together, sleep together, and he's there for me in a way no one else has ever been. But I feel like I'm holding up his life because he refuses to date anyone else until I find someone else and he's always available when I need him. The only thing is...I can't see him with anyone else and I love him, but what do I do now?

Don't hold up his life & don't hold up your life . We all need to move forward .Making a statement by breaking off now ,while you have no one else.It will give both of you time to think. You might consider ---he may never be ready maybe I'd better look for someone who will make the rest of my life complete. He may think -----If I jack around too long she may find someone else and I better decide is she just a toy or do I want to spend the rest of my life with her. That's how I came by my wife and thats how our son in law came to be .

It sounds to me like hes afraid of making a Commitment yet he does not want to lose you either. You are both still young and if you are happy with the "now" situation then why change anything. You are not holding up his Life, you are both still maturing and thats a good thing.

Quit seeing him. He may miss you if you're gone. Or you will at least be available to meet others. You're giving him all the benefits with out the commitment. Stop being his doormat.

the only thing you can do now is tell him how you feel and let him make that decision.
