I am politically pro-choice, but personally pro-life.
It is an individual matter, and I would never presume to tell another woman what to do.
But... I subscribe to the opinion of Dr. Charles Pelligrino, a scientist whose books I have read. He reasons that the software for a human is encoded in the DNA, and therefore all of the things a person will be are present at the moment of conception. Whether you believe "life" begins at that moment or not, the color of the baby's eyes, hair and skin are all decided as soon as the egg and sperm each contribute their genetic data. If the newly formed cells are destroyed, the blueprint is lost forever; it can never be duplicated.
Reading that was the first time I came across a scientist offering such an opinion (and he writes that he was scorned by his fellow scientists for thinking so, in spite of his atheism) This was not a political nor religious argument but a logical one, and it made sense to me.
My take on it is this:
I support a woman's right to choose --
To choose to abstain from sex until ready for children.
To choose to take advantage of the many birth control options available to her.
To choose to insist her partner wears a condom.
To choose to give her unplanned child to a woman desperately wanting one.
To choose to change her life plan to make room for this unexpected person.
Abortion should be the very last option considered, and only under dire circumstance.
Legal, safe and EXTREMELY rare.
Thanks.

Pro-life because I am a Catholic and we believe that life begins at the time of conception! So if you decide to murder the child (because that is exactly what you are doing!) then you are not giving it a chance to live life as you have yourself. There is no reason to have an abortion because there is a wonderful thing called adoption. Plus it is your own fault that you either had sex in the first place or was promiscuous. Now if it was a rape situation abortion STILL would be out of the question because the child is still a blessing and if choose not to mother it you can give it for adoption! When you do have an abortion it will always be on your conscience, knowing that killed an unborn child! You have to live with this MISTAKE for the rest of your life. You'll always have to sit there and wonder how the child could have looked, sounded, or what would have become of it. It would've been a doctor and found a cure for AIDS, president, lawyer, teacher, etc. So I am and always will be PRO-LIFE!

Pro-choice, here's why:
1. While the baby does have a beating heart early on, there's no way it can be treated as a person, it cannot survive outside of the womb.
2. For those babies who you know will die soon after birth, or will lead miserable lives (those with severe enough conditions like severe mental retardation, anencephaly, etc. etc.), why put them through any more misery if you find out early on?
3. What about those women who were raped or victims of incest and they conceived a child. They should have the right to abort the fetus, if they so choose.
4. When the presence of a fetus is detrimental to the mother's health, it is wiser to end the life of the fetus than that of the mother.
5. It's pro-choice, not pro-abortion, I'm not a huge fan of the idea of abortion, however if the circumstances demand it, I would rather have that choice than to have only one.

I am pro-life, however in the case of medical danger to the mother I believe that abortion to save her life is appropriate. I believe that:
1. If a woman is ready to have a physical relationship with a man, then she is ready to deal with any and all consequences resulting in that relationship (pregnancy, relationship or lack thereof, health effects, etc). If that's too much for her to handle, then she should wait until she prepares herself.
2. If she's not ready to raise a child so that child has the best chances in life, she should give that child up for adoption. There are hundreds upon hundreds of couples who cannot have children of their own and would love to adopt.
and 3. that abortion is an extremely selfish act.
A little winded, but my thoughts nonetheless, lol. I also believe everyone has the right to believe what they like, and no one knows what's going on in the woman's/girl's head but God, and that's why only He can judge her, not me.

Pro-life.The foetus is still a human, even if it's not able to survive out of the womb.Babies need to be protected, and even more so if it's not able to survive by itself. There are laws to stop people from hurting each other. But when it comes to a foetus, suddenly it's okay to kill.It shows how far down the drain society has gone when people justify the killing of inncocents.Women should be supported through having the baby.I would personally take care of a woman while she was pregnant if she was planning on having the baby.

I'm neither, I am anti-abortion, but mostly after the 8th week gestation, when it is no longer an embryo, but a fetus.
I believe after this time it is undisputably an established human being. It's living, growing and thriving and it is committing infanticide/fetal slaughter, to kill it.
They begin to feel pain and are aware and have sensation much sooner than people think and it is absolutely disgusting how abortionists kill them, without any care whatsoever about this precious life which is supposed to be safe and protected in his or her mother's womb and many times can feel the aguish of death and the confusion and fear while he or she is being destroyed.
I think it should be banned after the 8th week and anyone who performs one after the first trimester should go to jail for 20 years.
Second trimester abortion procedure has to be the most disgusting, heartless and vile thing you could ever imagine, it's so horrible and heartbreaking to describe, that when you do go into the gory details of the horror people can hardly believe that it's legal, and that it's actually done TENS OF THOUSANDS of times each year.
8 weeks is long enough, after that ladies, tough tittie, you have to have ethical restriction, your ignorance of fetal development is not a green light to kill.
Many abortionists today have done unspeakable things to very big 'fetus'" to the point when they were really sentient infants....they are murderers...and they have done it tens of thousands of times.
I can only hope they will see justice one day, but unfortuantely, there is no justice, just brutality and evil run amok with no accountability.

I could never have an abortion the whole idea makes me want to cry but if a woman could have an abortion and wants to have an abortion, would she really be a good mother? I don't think that I want my kids living down the street from someone who doesn't want to even try to be a parent. For that reason, I am pro-choice. I don't think society can force people to be good parents and it is foolish to try. Even if you made the woman continue with the pregnancy, they are not going to take care of the baby or make the sacrifices necessary to have a healthy baby, we are just damning children to a horrible life.

Birth control is free,in too many places, so if some one didn't want a child, they should be using it. I personally think it is sad to kill an unborn child. There are many circumstances in making a decision on this issue. God knows these children before they were in the womb, and it is 'killing' a child. It is, however between the woman, and God.

Pro-Life
Because:
One of my close friends lost her baby when it was only 7 weeks along. It had eyes, a mouth, ears, and fingers, toes. It was forming and looked like a person. God tells us He knew us before we were in our mother's wombs. To me that says, we are alive even before we are an embryo, and that our souls are in our bodies from the time the semen fertelize the ovum.
Had YOU seen that still born infant? I am sure you would have seen a human life too. It is something one must SEE to believe I guess.
Have you ever SEEN an abortion? They cut up the baby inside the mother, then pull it out in peices!!! Arms and legs are detached from the baby and even often the head!
If we give in to abortion, that will include partial birth abortion too. Did you know they deliver the baby's head, literally SUCK their brains out, then deliver a dead infant in this procedure? That to me is PURE murder.

Pro-choice, even though I disagree with abortion personally, women deserve the freedom to make decisions that will affect their lives. Personally, I would never abort a child if I was pregnant, not for any reason. This choice however, is very personal and must be made by the individual. I don't think people should use abortions lightly, it should be given serious consideration. I have never heard of a woman who was happy after having an abortion, and I think to many people get them without considering the consequences.
