If you are going 2 a salon get Mizani it gets ur hair straight but if u are doing it at home I would go with Motions or Creme of Nature they are the best at home perms to use. The time limit should be stated on the box it just all depends on what hair texture u have or how straight want ur hair. I leave mines on for about 30 minutes

I like Lady Velvet and General Treatment but like the ladies said before stick 2 your hair type and everything depends on regions as well. I get a perm every 8-12 weeks and sometimes I go longer to aviod daminging my hair.

can't really say evrybody has different hair textures, different lifestyle habits so what may work fo you may not work for someone else. my friend had extremely coarse hair and she loved this stuff called Bantu and also loved this stuff called bone strait. Now if I used it I would be bald because it is too strong for my hair. Then you have to look at how will you maintain your hair. If you do not properly care for your hair, regardless of what relaxer you have, or even if you are natural, your har can become damaged abd look terrible. what I had to do was to think about my hair , do strand tests and then decide with a stylist which is best for your hair. Now for me Ilove the Mizani line

If you are doing the perm yourself, try to find Precise. This works wonders on my hair, doesn't burn either.
If not, Soft Sheen Carson does well, just don't leave it on your hair too long.
If this is your first time getting a relaxer or doing a relaxer yourself, go to a stylist!!

Dark &Lovely is the only relaxer I've used for the past few years. How long you leave it on depends on the texture of you hair. DO NOT LEAVE IT ON FOR 30 MIN.That might be way too long for your hair.

I could be wrong but I think perm= curly.

what type of hair do you have? because unless it's tight curls that are unmanagable don't get a relaxer...

it will fry your hair.
