There is not one single cheapest airline flying into Boston... there are too many variables. Like, it depends on where you're flying from (how much competition there is on that route), what day you're traveling on, and a lot of other factors, so it's impossible to answer such a broad question.

I should say, however, that I fly a LOT (80-100 times a year) and I live in Boston... and JetBlue has never been the cheapest option for me, it's actually kind of expensive compared to other airlines. And Southwest Airlines is about the same as the major carriers - or sometimes like $20 cheaper, but they only fly out of Providence or Manchester so it would cost me more than that to get to those airports. So it's a myth that the "low-fare" carriers are always the cheapest.

Basically, my advice is to shop around.

Assuming you mean Boston, I would go for JetBlue.

If you don't mind flying into Hartford or Manchester I would go for Southwest.
