It is a process, especially if they HAVEN'T asked for forgiveness.
The only way to do it is on your KNEES, every time the devil brings the issue to your mind, ONCE AGAIN! You must continually give it over to the Lord, and ask His help in forgiving, and remember, also, to confess any sin in your life as well as ask forgiveness from anyone YOU may have offended. The Holy Spirit will be SURE to bring this to your remembrance.
UNFORGIVENESS is a terrible thing in the life of an individual, whether they be saved, or not. If they're saved, they will quickly develop a judgmental Spirit and will be very unpleasant to be around, both by family and church family alike.
In an unsaved heart, an extreme bitterness also, will develop, but the danger here is that it will more than likely HARDEN their heart to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, their ONLY hope for this world, and the world to come!!
May God help us ALL!!

as quickly as I actually have a grudge against somebody( i think of to myself do i want to be forgiven, if Allah(SWT) could be Merciful and forgive people, then i ought to do a similar) i'm not greater advantageous than Allah so why cant i forgive that man or woman? So i forgive that man or woman via fact i might want Allah to forgive me if i grew to become into in an analogous difficulty.

Forgiving does not mean you let them continue to hurt you. If you can't forgive, try to just lay it down and ask God to get rid of any bitterness and anger. Laying it down and moving on is the best thing you can do for yourself.

Sometimes it's not an easy thing to do. Seek God's guidence and pray for the person who hurt you. Go to them in love and call a truce. Forgive them or it will eat at you.

Forgiveness is a very misunderstood concept.
It's a journey. You have to start with willingness to forgive, then take it to God and ask for His help in moving on to full forgiveness.
Reconciliation is good but you can forgive without it.

The bad feelings you have toward some one else only hurt you. They make you upset not the other person. The other person may not even know or care what you think. Move on and think about the good people in your life.

I am a prankster on answers. In real life I see a lot of people die ( most are incredibly nice) I can't take myself too seriously in lieu of seeing someone go through such a great loss. I am angry for a day and just get over it. BTW you always ask great questions. ( even for a Christian...Just kidding.)

Have they asked for your forgiveness or do you desire to forgive for forgiveness's sake?
Sacrement of Confession teaches: Ask for forgiveness out loud ... repent & ask for help to not do again ... ask for penance (purification to help person from doing again).
However, there is situations where two people/ groups will not open dialog to ask and receive forgivness. In these cases, looking commonalities to open dialoge is good.

They must have remorse (repent). I'll encourage their repentance with love and hopefully they will respond with love also. I'd pray for the Holy Spirit to touch their heart.
Trivia question:
Did you know the unpardonable sin is to reject the Holy Spirit's call to repentance continuously? That means you'll hurt people and never feel remorse.
