That is the predicament I find myself in. I know that it is mostly rubbish, but if it instills morality in my children than why not?
Is that bad?

Gary: I do not like you or any of your thoughtless answers. So just go ahead and stay away from my questions.

If you can't believe in it, then will it really instill those morals in your kids or will they just have trouble believing in it and think that they are bad for doing so? Morals are taught by you and how you live and the choices you make. Either find a religion that fits you and what you believe or help them study all religions and world views. It would be cruel to take them to church to be told they are sinners and will go to Hell if they don't believe in what you can't believe in.

If you were a JW, than you would be taking the children along to learn the Bible, as a whole, and not just the Bible stories. They would be have their own Bible to look scriptures up and encouraged to answer questions, just like the adults. You may even be the only giving the talk (sermon in other churches), since every witness learns public speaking and preaching. If it is a Thursday night, and if your child is over 12, he/she may be on stage giving a few minutes talk on the Bible.

You next question should be - Does religion instill morality? If you feel it does , is there a trade off? If you feel self honesty is something you want to encourage in your children , my opinion would be to wait to expose them to religion until after they show maturity and confidence in there own ability to reason.

i think you should expose your children to lots of different religions, so that they can choose which one they believe in, or choose none at all. They will be tolerant, and will have more knowledge than most other kids who are just exposed to one particular religion

I love to worship my Lord. I have a lot to learn about loving others and other stuff too.

It is a good thing to take your child to church, you might learn something too. : )
