I received my pharmacy tech certificate in 2002 but never used it. I now am interested in pursuing it, but dont know if I have to start over again (god I hope not). I live in new york. I would appreciate if someone could help me.

It looks like you'll have to recertify. According to https://www.ptcb.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Recertification&Template=/CM/ContentCombo.cfm&NavMenuID=567&ContentID=2319 you should take 20 C.E.U.'s to keep your license.

Most states don't require CE for the pharm tech license, but certification does require it. My understanding is that you'll have to start over for certification. With your license, you may have to pay new licensing fee again.
