Never saw your other avatar but yes, the avatar can make a difference. That one is cute. I completely ignore questions with unappealing avatars or ID's... they just tell something about the person's personality. Of course some might put up a cute one and turn out they are just the opposite, but they at least get their "foot in the door" before being ignored.
