The truth is PA can mean both Physician's Assistant (a two year after high school degree) or Professional Association (the business term). If the person is a real doctor the will be either an MD or DO immediately after the name.
Many PA try to pass themselves off as "doctor" like a medic would be called "doc" in the Army.

I think she is probably either PA or MD, not both, since they are different degrees, but both are health care practitioners. Both can see patients and prescribe medicine, but they are two separate paths. PAs typically have a four-year bachelor's degree and either a certificate or master's degree, while an MD (or DO) has a four-year bachelor's degree and a medical four-degree.

It is my understanding that PAs are required to help with the physician shortage as they can handle a lot of the day-to-day medical problems that doctors do without the four-years of training. However, doctors would have a better background for rarer or more serious medical problems.
