put him in a cage. that is the best place for a dog that was bred for one thing.

I have owned pitbulls my whole life and I currently have two pitbulls They are all hyper and love to play around. You should try to take it for a walk or if you have a fenced in yard let it play outside with a tennis ball or other toy. You shouldn't cage the dog up because it will only make it more hyper. You should also remember that it's a pitbull and they are known for being hyper not lazy like a lot of other breeds. And always remember this a pitbull was bred for one thing to be very loving and devoted and loyal to there owner they are wonderful. Good Luck!

A hyper Dog and a Aggressive Dog comes from a lack of exercise. When you excercise them like you suppose to, they won't have so much energy. Also yelling at a dog like a Pitbull is not going help much at all. You have to be the pack leader and take charge by being calm and assertive. If your dog doesn't listen to you, that is because he doesn't respect you as the pack leader. So if there is no leadership, then someone has to take over. I hope this helped. The link that I provided is a good source to help you understand dogs more.

The pit we used to have did that and once he got over 60 lbs you just had to make sure and stay out of his way. I just about got a broken leg getting in front of him once. He just has a lot of energy to burn. It is hard with pits, but if you can wear him out he'll behave better. Try taking him out for a game of fetch or a walk (or even better a jog). Mine loved to chase tennis balls, so I'd take him out every afternoon and run him around the yard. I piled up 5 or 6 balls and threw them one after the other so he never got a chance to stop running. Making sure he gets enough exercise and waiting for him to grow up a little should help a lot.

Tell people coming over in advance that he is not allowed to jump, and not to pet him or pay attention to him until he is quiet and sitting nicely. Consistency is key in any training. When he jumps up, push or pull him off and say "NO" in a firm voice. Tell him to 'sit' and when he does, then the person can pay attention to him. Eventually, he will get the idea and will stop jumping, instead he will approach and sit nicely.

Your dog has a lot of energy. I suggest taking her on a long walk every morning and night. She is probably getting bored. Taking your dog on a walk will stimulate her physically and mentally, making for a calm dog at home.

Get him trained. I have a behaviorist/Obedience dog trainer who is training my dog at the moment. They are very good and well worth the money. My trainer costs me £25 per hour which is enough time to give you the owner the training methods you need.

It sounds like he is just playing. I have Bullies and when they get crazy and start zooming I get the heck out of their way. They eventually get tired and settle down. Let him have fun.

I also have a pitt. Sounds like he is playing, but you might try and walk him on a leash. He has all that energy and the more you yell the more excited he becomes. It will get better!!!!

if he doesn't listen when you call him then he is not trained. You should take him to obedience school and start watching the Dog Whisperer
