I totally agree with you but the problem is that these weapons are so few in number that it will take a bit for them to go into full production so it looks like we're going to have to wait a bit longer.

Many weapon systems do not greatly improve the performance of existing weapons. Just look at the M-16 and M-14. They have been trying for 25 years to replace those two rifles (especially the M-16) and the only thing really new besides the guts is the rail system so things can be easily attached to the gun. meanwhile the Russians have gone in reverse going from the 7.25 AK-47 to the fiberglass 5.25 AK-74 which uses the rail system (so now the new Russian rifle and the new U.S. rifle are basically the same now, while the old AK-47 gets all the hype). They have been giving the troops new defense systems like the uparmored Humvee, the stryker vehical, new body armor that covers more area and better medicine (just look at how few deaths there were and only 570 amputations out of 20,000 or so injuries).

2 outta' 3 isn't good enough for any weapon, especially in the military. A 30 round clip that "only" jams 10 times? That would make for some confident soldiers.

More importantly, killing in foreign lands with sophisticated or other weaponry is only going to ensure our children grow up in a world soaked in blood and shadowed by terror.

Millions & millions are spent testing weapons in america because there are wealthy weaopn developers that love their job and think killing is a good idea.

Now for you best question, "if one missess,,,so ???"
I think it actually says that on the final merit badge earned by the snipers of every nation, throughout all time....
--OH! That was our motto with those laser guided bombs that blew up apt' complexes full of the very people we were supposedly trying to liberate. --We killed more of Sadam's people than he did. We also killed more of our own than Sadam did.

Basically, you're an idiot. But now that you are faced with that fact, at least you're STILL ALIVE to find and enlightened path.

Much more testing would need to be done I'm sure, but also
I'll compare this to a popular technology today.... Night Vision

In late WWII (if I remember correctly) The Americans started to put this technology into use. Of course enemy forces managed to put their little paws on it, and they began to create their own. 1st generation night vision uses infrared technology. Meaning you could spot another person using night vision by seeing their infrared beams that came out of the sights.

Why would you want to start using this extreme technology so quickly, when you haven't had much time to develop it. Look at the Cold War. The Russians would find out we had something new, so they'd steal documents on it, and make ten times better... and vice versa.
