No, not really. I mean it looks cool, but its not a good idea to jump off of buildings. That's actually a really terrible idea. Sure, some athletes can pull it off, but they are exception. I recommend you just go jogging and jump every now and then. That would be safer and smarter plus you get the same amount of exercise! Make sure you stretch first. If you do want to learn Parkour anyway then run and jump over stuff on the grass for a while first. Oh, and wear a helmet. That's a better idea, but it doesn't look cool. You need something that looks cool, and is a good idea. Bonus points if it will help you in life. Why not learn a martial art? Kung Fu is cool. Neo did Kung Fu in The Matrix. All the MMA guys are doing Brazilian Jujitsu, so you could do that. Anyway, if you want to be athletic, go jogging and lift weights or do a MA. Just one guys opinion. ETA: LOL " you should be careful, where you run, you can be arrested for trespassing".......hahahahaha! You should be careful where you run because you'll break your neck!

some people say parkour isnt a martial art. to me it is. the best way i find of learning parkour is learning by yourself and from watching others. it takes a lot of time but its worth it. i have never heard of classes for parkour but tumbling and martial arts help in parkour
good luck

As far as I'm let to believe parkour is the ability to pass obstacles in the fastest and most direct manner possible. The obstacles can be anything in the environment jackie chan does this in his movies but its not a martial art.

Hi there
never herd of it but from what i understand its the movement that is done in Ong Bak and Jackie Chan movies?
Sounds like a fad art (latest craze sort of thing). To be honest you would probably be better studying gymnastics at a local club and adding that to your repertoire.
Do a google search. If you cant find one then find the nearest location and ask them for advise or see if there is a UK organisation and email em.

Ring your local council offices. They have a department that deals with all sports events etc in your area. Or, do the same with your local lesiure centre. If they dont do it at least there the right people to direct you to the next person to try.
