Use an anti-inflammatory. There's a nerve being pinched in your back. Get the swelling down and the pain in the leg will go away until the next time.

I'm scheduled for an MRI this week for the same thing. The 1st time my sciatica was inflamed, I was on my back for 3 weeks and I don't know what caused it and the 2nd time I went back to work at the end of the 3rd week (too soon) and was sweeping when it happened again. I have been to 3 Doctors and now I am seeing a Pain Management Specialist, because I'm in recovery and refuse to take pain pills, and He is scheduling the test for this week. I have tried TRACTION, CHIROPRACTORS, PHYSICAL THERAPY, HEAT and COLD and the only things besides DRUGS that helped was HOT WATER BATHS WITH EPSOM SALT, MESSAGE and STRETCHING.
This was the most painful thing in my life and do not wish this on anybody. PLEASE go see a specialist.
I hope you can find a cure and if you do please let us know about it. PLEASE.

I saw an answer from Ray homeopathic remedies are all worthless garbage. It is peddled by liars and frauds. What you're taking is water with NOTHING IN IT! This is better than their really giving you rhus,, though, since it is a deadly poison. Only one question to Ray Can you cure sciatica like diseases with water..???

I had that crap. you are probably doing something that is acctually sitting on a nerve. Make sure this isn't your case. after you get whatever it is off your nerve, it will go away. I had it twice once in college I was carrying a book back on my shoulder and it wore down on my nerve in my shoulder. went to the doctor and I had to stop carrying it on my shoulder. over time it went away the other time it was during my pregnancy which I could not help until I had the baby. get pain medicine for now

find out underlying cause; can be stress related, nerve is being pinched. ice for severe pain, take anti-inflame drugs (like aleve or something stronger) to take edge off; stretching and rest.

stretching has helped me alot. It hurts to stretch at first but if you can bear the pain it really eases up after a while

NO CURE- JUST LOTS OF STRETCHING AND ICE. YOU CAN ALSO CHECK WITH YOUR MD AND SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM ACTUALLY IS- MAYBE YOU NEED A MEDICAL TREATMENT TO HELP WITH RELIEF.

Go to a chiropractor, you need to have your vertebrae knocked back in place.
