I THINK A GOOD, SELF ASSURED, AND SEASONED PHLEBOTOMIST WILL GIVE SOME COMFORT. THE REST IS UP TO YOU SWEETY. JUST REMEMBER, A LITTLE PINCH. YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOOK, IF IT IS THE BLOOD THAT SCARES YOU. KEEP TELLING YOURSELF, IT IS ALMOST OVER, JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE. YOU'LL BE DONE IN NO TIME. YOU CAN ALSO TRY DEEP BREATHING, AND TRY THINKING ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE TO DISTRACT YOU.

They are experts with needles. When you go in just tell them you have a fear of needles, you aren't the first and won't be the last and they will probably give you one of the more experienced ones. Just don't look, look away. My sister in law hates needles and used to throw up everytime they tried to draw blood, but after having a baby she's so used to it that now it doesn't bother her. It's the anticipation that's worse than anything. Just breathe deeply through your mouth into your stomach, and LOOK THE OTHER WAY, OR AT THE WALL OR WHATEVER, START analyzing one of the employees bad hair color job, or weight, etc. Some of the techs are so slick you barely even realize the needle went in. And in answer to your question, any good tech should be able to give you tips to keep you calm. Please don't stress, it's only a few seconds of your life, so don't waste hours worrying about it.

some people who attracts blood does not understand a thank you to do it in any respect. you're able to basically provide them like 2 possibilities and in the event that they are able to't draw your blood then ask for somebody else. have self assurance me I truthfully have earlier. some can get it on the 1st try yet some will save on poking by way of fact they can't hit a vein outstanding and then they desire in charge it in this "Your veins are so little". Ask for a butterfly needle and that shouldn't injury as much as a much bigger needle by way of fact the butterfly one is for toddlers/young toddlers yet they do apply it to me by way of fact extremely i do have small veins. only breathe and unfasten up once you have it performed. the guy which will draw the blood all they are able to do or say is it is going to likely be ok. in the experience that your so under pressure out approximately it get somebody to circulate with you or take a nerve pill before. solid success

They are trained to keep people calm. There are a lot of techniques to keep people from getting upset around needles. It might help to bring a calm friend along to distract you (not one who's going to make things worse). It might help to talk to your doctor and see if he would prescribe a mild sedative to help you stay calm during the blood draw.
Hope this helps...

Let the person at the desk know that you are particularly scared. That way they make sure that you get the kindest/most comforting tech they have. Thats your best option.
