I recently got some silicone bakeware. I used the loaf pans and sprayed them with cooking spray them before. The bread fell right out of the pans, but there is some sticky nasty stuff now on the outside of the pans. The pans look non-stick to begin with, maybe I shouldn't use cooking spray??

yea, you shouldn't use cooking spray on silicone bakeware. it's meant to be that the food comes out clean without spray. i've done that before, greasing the silicone bakeware, and when the cake came out, there was this nasty sticky film stuck on the silicone, and it was hard to wash and get off. When you're done cooking, just go around it with a knife or a long toothpick just to separate the edges a little more, but don't do the spray.

I baked a cake without spraying and it was awful.
It wouldn't come out to the pan.
When I sprayed it came out perfectly.
However, I really prefer traditional pans.
I had two silicone pans.
I returned the one I had not used.
