you probably just have alot on your mind and are either worried or stressed out. try not to watch tv right before going to bed- no news, that gets u keyed up. dont drink any pop or coffee/tea within a couple hours of bedtime and try to do some sort of streches before bed. relaxing your muscles will help your mind relax and fall asleep easier, and sleep better too.
try to figure out what there is that you could be worried about in your life, money, health, relationships, work. when money is tight it can cause an awful lot of problems in all of these areas causing sleep problems. keep a notebook next to your bed so that if you have a dream you can write tidbits down as you wake and try to figure them out, if there is any connection. more than not, your just probably worried about something that you can probably fix. dont rely on meds from doctors, thats always what they do, prescribe something. well meds dont solve problems, only symptoms. you need to get to the root of the problem. also try not to do other things in your room other than sleeping. if you watch tv in there/read/homework/music, try to cut back. your bed should be for sleeping/relaxation. try to slow down a little and keep a routine. and it may not hurt to take a bath too. hope this helps. and i hope you get some sleep.

sound like you are having an anxiety problem, or have alot on your mind right now, talk to your doctor maybe you can get a prescription for a week or two for sleeping pills, just so you can get a good sleep, because it is like a cycle the lack of sleep will make you feel even worse, and ,more anxious

the one who wrote write your dreams down 1st thing in the morning is so right take her advice. Learn to leave the situation behind you as soon as you turn your back. If not they will follow you to bed and you will have those things on your mind and not be able to get rest. Learn to be straight forward with people so these things will not follow you to bed, if you believe in God pray for a peace of mind, at night this will help you get rest too. Good Luck

I would first suggest that you write down all your dreams the first thing in the morning, while they're still fresh. Often your fears will come out in them, from your subconcious mind. It only gives you bits at a time though, as to not completely frighten you. Do this and see if you can make something of it, and/or get yourself a good counselor.
