i'll be bbabysitting my best friends kids tonight a boy one year old and a two year old girl, they are pretty well behaved. any tips you could give me? i am 24, but i have minimal experience with babies, first hand. like what should i do to keep them happy for 4 hours, then off to bed. toys, movies? maybe a movie, cartoons before bed, to 'wind down'? also i get scared being home alone, lol. so is it wrong to let them fall asleep on the couch, and just stay there with them till mom gets home? or shoul di carry the one upstairs, and the other to the downstairs room where they normally sleep. they have abig house, i can see myself getting all scareed if the one upstairs starts crying and i have to walk upo there lol. they have 2 big dogs, so i am sure i will feel safer than i do when i am home alone at my house with only a few finches lol. hope you don't think im crazy lol

1. relax...
2. make sure there are some crackers and juice for the kids, and let them watch a cartoon movie.. I don't know what movies your friend has, so I don't know what to recommend.. Maybe you could rent one.. Winnie the pooh is a good one for both of them... maybe you could get them some non toxic finger paints and let them paint some pics for mommy... then give them a bath (together at this age is fine), get them into their pj's, read a book, eat a few snack crakers and some milk or juice, then make a palatte on the floor in front of the tv for them to fall asleep on, and lay down with them and enjoy the movie... till they fall asleep. What ever you do I am sure it will be great!! Have fun!!

haha, don't over-analyze. if your friend trust you enough to sit for her kids, then you need to trust her to give you the important info you'll need. otherwise, just have fun with the kids, keep them alive ;), and everything will be fine. good luck!

i think it would be cute if your best friend came home to find you snoozing on the couch, one child on your lap, one laying on your hip, lol you'll be fine, especially with the dogs !
