The gum surrounding one of my teeth in my lower right jaw is a light grey. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is or what is wrong?

i have already looked at some websites, but all of them talk about red swollen gums. Then after that it might get worse into something else. I never had red swollen gums around this area.

It is not clear to say what it is but if i were you, i would get to a dentist as soon as you can, gum's can cause more damage than bad teeth and remember if your gums go bad your teeth will pay for it. get it early doesn't sound that bad but don't put it off.

May be periodontal gum disease. It is treatable so dont freak out, i would just suggest going to see a dentist as soon as possible.

Yeah, sounds like a problem for the doc to check out yo. :) Could have something wrong with the root, and that's not good.
