I am just wondering if this is normal, she's always got mass amounts of hair coming out, doesn't matter how much I brush her, and i bath her every three weeks with Vanilla oatmeal shampoo (some chick at pet smart said was good)
she's a great dane/Mstiff Mix so she's a big baby. but sheds year round, when i thought it was in cycles.

Single coated dogs like Great Danes and Mastiffs do shed year round. It's the double coated breeds like German Shepherds and Siberian Huskies that shed in cycles.

If you feel she is shedding too much, try upgrading her food to a higher quality dog food. You also might try getting her checked out at your vet's; excessive shedding can signal a medical problem.

Hope this helps...

Perhaps you need to take a close look at the food you're feeding her - if the food's not that good, it can have an affect on her coat. Or if the food just doesn't agree with her - some dogs don't do well on a particular food because they could be allergic to some of the ingredients in it and need to be switched. Also, you could try not bathing her quite so often and be sure you're giving her a tablespoon of veg. oil or a salmon oil capsule daily - great for skin and coat.
