You have to first split the .avi file into two using a file splitting software like AVI Splitter (http://www.brizsoft.com/avisplit/) and then using nero choose the option that says creat a Video CD.
It should work ( unless the avi file itself requires a codec or somethign to be played)

a million. in case you have the conventional AVI report, ability that its no longer a DivX or MP4 format, then you definately can rather compress the report utilising "Ashampoo's movie decrease and Burn". however the compressed report is likewise in avi format and should not be performed on a VCD participant. besides the shown fact which you will burn it on a CD and play it later utilising a pc pc. 2. in case you purely had to break down the vast report so as which you will reproduction it on cd's and flow it to a distinctive pc, purely Use 'chop up n connect' It breaks the report into 2 unusable report. you could later connect those 2 areas right into a usable one. 3. The final option is the only i think of you're searching for, yet its a protracted technique. Use "VCD Cutter" to make 2 or 3 clips out of your single movie report. (you purely prefer a pc with extraordinarily sturdy configuration and a sprint persistence). GL

Splitting is easy.

However, AVI is NOT in VCD format.

So do you want to convert AVI to VCD/MPEG1 first or not?
