Bush is an idiot, but then again, he is smart! Or atleast he thinks he is. I hate him, and I think our troops should come home and Bush should fight ALONE, because he set this whole war up and sooner or later it will all come out. God doesn't like ugly. Syria, Iran, and al-Qaeda send terrorists into Iraq to blow up civilians and disrupt Iraqi society.

The new Iraqi government and military by themselves cannot yet defend themselves effectively from the threat of those three at once.

If the United States and it's allies do not stop the terrorists there then Iraq will become like Afghanistan was under the Taliban. There were terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and there would soon be such camps in Iraq id the United States allows the Iraqi government to fall.

Iran is actively seeking nuclear weapons technology and won't hesitate to use a nuclear bomb against Israel if they get one.

Iran continues to fund terrorists. There is significant evidence that Saddam sent his chemical weapons to Syria during the buildup of American forces on Iraq's border.

The loss of a single soldier or innocent bystander is tragic. The loss of 3,000 soldiers is a lot. This needs to be put into perspective as many more lives than that were lost in a single battle during World War Two.

Search engines will provide lots of information about this too.

Well one dude, Bush is a corrupt and power hungry official like his dad before him. His old man erased his criminal record when he was kid which must have messed with his head badly. Plus everyone at my college all agree that Bush hired people to bomb the Trade Towers so he could declare war immediatly and there was something also that my friend said I cant remember what, but it had something to do with a decleration of war on Iraq that was made before 9-11 was to happen.

We do our research at our college, and we think alot of the soliders there in iraq, iran, any of muslim countries dont know exactly what their fighting for. Bush is there to take their wealth, their freedom and their oil fields. He isnt such a *good* guy as alot of people belive him to be. This war was is a get-rich-quick scheme for bush and he doesnt give a damn what he does to get there.

He's corrupt he attacked innocent people and now their fighting back because they didnt want a fight in the first place, they only wanted peace and there's several videos on the net from many civilains there that cleary say they had nothing to do with what happened, they only want to live n peace and be happy. If a country wants to be communist and govern themselves let them. The US has no right to force a country into democracy or anything against their will and I;m prolly gonna get yelled at in emails about this like usual :)).

This whole war is a lie and a cover up for what he really wants. I bet if alot of people knew of his criminal background and choose to see the truth he wudnt be president today. When the US is attacked me and my friends are gonna laugh our butts off and wait our fate for because of bushes ignorance and hunger for power he's sealed the fate of millions americans and it's only a matter of time before the US is wiped out.

Because you are a Democrate!? It doesn't matter who's the president, i believe every president had made choices, and there will always be a part of people who oppose his decisions. So quit that blame the president crap and focus of the issues rather than the president himself. Besides, he's might be just a puppet for the Republicans and he is just doing what his ADVISORS wants.
On the war issue, I think Bush has gotten our feet wet and now if we decide to quit sending troops, it would seem like we are the losers and cowards. But I think it is better to drop the war, the war is not worth american lives. Let the Iraqis deal w/ their thing and we mind our own business.

Is it Bush it incredibly is the fool or the Dem's. With Vietnam the Dem's basically killed the locals interior the Vietnam section. in part with the aid of fact the 1st international's financial equipment is tied to grease, leaving the section would desire to disrupt the financial equipment of the international. No we did no longer flow into the section for oil, yet we would could stay for it. you think of the fee for gas is intense immediately, wait until Iraq is going right into a self destruct mode like Lebanon & Yugoslavia did. you like peace interior the region? ask your self what are you doing to inspire it. Is the clicking taking a favorable or unfavorable management function? No the defense force will no longer be able to get the Iraqis to stand up for their united states, however the clicking & in line with danger even the left would desire to in the event that they did no longer want for the U. S. to furnish way interior the dirt!

Wow, one moment he's an incredible genius because he's managed to fool the entire nation (with the exception of a few rare geniuses on Yahoo!Answers and Myspace) into thinking that Al Queda committed the attacks on 9/11 (when it was really the CIA), and the next minute he's the dumbest piece of **** on the planet.

Can you flippin' trolls make up your minds?

That question is not appropriate. Why go to war in the first place? Fox is not the best news network. If persons need to get unbiased news watch news from different sources outside of the united states. The only reason AMERICA not BUSH went to war is because they wanted Iraq's oil. I must congratulate the Public Relation personnel for the loads of horse s**t that they told us about the weapons of mass destruction. What weapons of mass destruction?

This war has gone down hill, and it is turning into another Vietnam. We are caught up in a situation where either staying or pulling out will have it's set backs. There a insurgents trying to over run the place, so if we pull out, this war would have been pointless. I do not put down Bush for his decisions. Though the media tries to over exaggerate how unwanted we are in Iraq, it is clear that we are in trouble with this.

The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the president. In essence, 2/3s of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change.

So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ''What we are so unhappy about?''

Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter? Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job? Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state? Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter? I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all involved. Whether you are rich or poor they treat your wounds and even, if necessary, send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home, you may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of having a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and your belongings. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes; an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world? Maybe that is what has 67 percent of you folks unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled brats safe from terrorist attacks? The commander-in-chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?

Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an ''other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge after a few days in the brig.

So why then the flat out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans? Say what you want but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells. Just ask why they are going to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book and do a TV special about how he didn't kill his wife but if he did, it's insane!

Stop buying the negative venom you are fed everyday by the media. Shut off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad.

I close with one of my favorite quotes from B.C. Forbes in 1953:

''What have Americans to be thankful for? More than any other people on the earth, we enjoy complete religious freedom, political freedom, social freedom. Our liberties are sacredly safeguarded by the Constitution of the United States, 'the most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man.' Yes, we Americans of today have been bequeathed a noble heritage. Let us pray that we may hand it down unsullied to our children and theirs.''

I suggest we sit back and count our blessings for all we have. If we don't, what we have will be taken away. Then we will have to explain to future generations why we squandered such blessing and abundance. If we are not careful this generation will be known as the ''greediest and most ungrateful generation.'' A far cry from the proud Americans of the ''greatest generation'' who left us an untarnished legacy.
