of course, if used a couple of times a day for half and hour or so, in conjuction with sensible eating. make sure and get a bit of a sweat on and a bit breathless. hope that last bit did not sound rude.

Benefits.??? Exercise bike Vs Real bike.
(1) Not going out in the P1551NG rain.
(2) Not getting choked by traffic fumes.
(3) Not being knocked down by a juggernaut.
(4) Not being abused by pedestrians for riding on the pavement.
(5) Not having to wear a silly cyclists "crash-helmet".
(6) Not suffering punctures.
(7) Not having to buy battery's for front/rear lights.
(8) being able to go straight to bed.

Using a treadmill is comparable to running while using an exercise biking is comparable to, obviously, biking. Generally speaking, running burns calories faster than biking (it is not possible to "burn fat"). However, the use of a treadmill has more of an impact on the joints of the legs, such as the knees and ankles.

Yes it will help you. But why not get the best of both worlds?
Get a Bike you like o you can ride outside whenever you want, and by a set of rollers so you can pedal your bike indoors like a exercise bike when you want or need to, eg, foul weather.

Yes you could put it in front of the box and watch t.v while exercising.
Depending on what bike you may be able hover side to side like a bird in the air (a ab exercise)

You can burn lots of calories using a exerciser bike .Just as good as a long run or going to the gym

I think you'd miss out on the fresh air but if u don't have time to cycle outdoors it'd be an optio.I tought you might like these books, they're by a well knwn &r respected author but I don't know if that's what you are looking for.
