Oh dear ! oh dear !!
I Do not have good news for you !!!
what the law will make of all this, is anybodies guess
The Insurance company ,will make mincemeat of both you and your brother .
You will not be driving again for along while .
As for who pays what , i would start saving now

I hope you were not driving, without your brothers permission
? if so this is a felony '

If you were driving with his permission ,
he is alas, in deep trouble as you were not insured !!

You were driving uninsured !
are you permitted to drive somebody Else's car ( uninsured )?

NO WAY!

your brothers insurance company, will not pay for the repairs at all .
His premiums ,if he gets insured again will go through the roof !!!

you had only just passed your test

Have you a driving license yet ??
( it will be withheld because of this accident !)

The only good thing i can hope,
IS THAT you did not injure anybody.
and you yourself, were not hurt.

What a sad tale ......

Its is no longer your problem. Its his problem. You say you have only a learned permit. Cool, there should of been a licensed driver with you (that is the law in my state). Your brother is responsible for the car, his insurance must pay. And his insurance will not go to 1000.00 a month, if it does, he need to sell the car and start walking or riding a bike. again, his car he is responsible. You are a learner, so that is all folks.
