Do you ever think........
What all have I stepped on?
What about others that have stepped on the same spot before me?
Could it be in the same spot you dropped the food?

For instance...
Someone steps in dog crap
They don't know
They go to the store
Walk all over the store

You go to the same store
Walk in the same spots
Get dog crap on your shoes
Go home
Spread it all over your house
Drop a piece of cheese on it
Pick it up, and continue to make that cheese tray
Guests arrive
Eat the cheese (laced with dog crap)
Go home
Get sick

WHY?

Because you're a nasty person, and I bet you get sick alot!!!

Yes, if I pick it up fast enough! And it's not something gooey. My floor's are always clean , plus I'm eating along with everyone!

yep. my floors are pretty clean, and my guests are usually close friends or family who equally value the "five second rule".

I am a firm believer of the 5 second rule! (Just so no one is looking!)

I don't blame you, after all that work you put into it! All the sweat, tears... WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT PEOPLE??

Yes. Brushed it off and looked around for witnesses. But that is just between you and me.

i'd have to go with the 5 second rule... unless there was some nasty stuff stuck on it... that's kinda gross! and i guess it would depend on how hard to was to make a second serving...

As long as the floor isn't too dirty, why not? ;-)
