~~~Ron ,,,, There are a few variables to consider, my friend,,,,"Prayers" for the non-religious are "thoughts or meditations". Meditations are Specific Thoughts that are given a specific "Direction", with specific "Intention". If one understands the concept that Thoughts have Form. Keep studying and you will see to what extent that they work,,, or not.
John 9:31 declares, “We know that God does not hear sinners, but those who worship Him and do His will, those He hears.” It has also been said that "the only prayer that God hears from a sinner is the prayer for salvation." As a result of this Scripture, some believe that God does not hear and/or will never answer the prayers of an unbeliever. In context, though, the Scripture is saying that God does not perform miracles through an unbeliever. The following Scriptures describe God hearing and answering the prayers of an unbeliever. 1 John 5:14-15 tells us that God answers prayers based on whether they are asked according to His will. This principle, perhaps, applies to unbelievers. If an unbeliever asks a prayer of God that is according to His will, nothing prevents God from answering such a prayer – according to His will.
God hears all of our prayers, whether we are religious, Christians, or any other person.
He loves each and everyone of us. He did not died for the Christians alone, but he died so that the world might be saved.
Think about this, does the sun shine only on the Christians or does it shine on all of us? Does the rain fall on only the Christians, to give them food, or does it fall on all of us.
What am saying to you is you can prayer to God, you don't have to a Christian to prayer for God to listen. He will listen. In his word (Bible) it says that even before we ask he hears, he knows.
Before I was a Christian I used to prayer to God, and I knew he heard me because he helped me out in so much situations that it will not even finish a book. Then he became my best friend.
It is good that you know that there is no one else in this world than Jesus Christ to come too.
Now let me tell you a true story of an atheist. There was a man who was an atheist, who hated God and everything about God. No matter how many times his friends tried to convince him about God, he will just brush them off and ignore them. There was nothing that he wanted to hear as far as God was concern. Anyhow, this man was a very good swimmer, and one night he went to the pool to practice his skills swimming. It was very late and the pool auditorium was very dark. He did not bother to turn on the bright lights because he did not want to disturb anyone. As he climb to the top and was standing on the patio to jump off, he said a silent prayer in his heart for the first time. "He said, Dear God if you do exist, prove to me that you are real" .Before he could finish speaking, the guardsman came in and turn on the lights, and asks him what he was doing up there, because apparently the water was drained from the pool that night. When the man looked down, all he saw was hard cement. He just thanked God and praised him for saving his life. Today, this man is a Christian, a follower of Christ who puts his trust and belief in one Most High God.
Now that is a true story that I will never forget. I have tested and proved God over and over again, and he has never failed me yet. Everyday with God keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. I would praise and worship God because he has done so much for me.
My advice is to prove God for yourself.
We are all God's children and he answers prayers regardless if we are believers or not. You can tell if what you have been praying for gets answered or not. Remeber also prayers are answered according to God's will for us, so sometimes it can be a 'Yes' or a 'No'.
I heard a voice while I prayed for my father who was in a coma from a stroke.he had pneumonia & a resuscitator to breath doctor said, no hope. when my mother asked him about his chances of living.
This voice said Rub his feet.So I did . he opened his eyes and lived on anouther 11 years.had a little memory loss and talked more then he used to.
I read in the local paper that people in the hospital got better by 35% when they were prayed for over those who did nt get prayed for, but later I read another articule that said they didnt get better more on the average,The people who were praying didnt have faith while praying for the person, is what it is.Faith makes things happen,not just prayer I have found out, you have to actually have faith while praying. as I have seen the results of haveing faith and its wonderful.Miracles do happen, The Spirit of God is here for everyone no matter what little beleif their into at the moment.
One God.
One Spirit of God
One soul in each of us!!. Joy!!
I have laid my hand on people for severe pain the pain simply vanishes emmediatly,Its undoubting faith that allows this.thru the Spirit.
I tell people that cutting out processed foods from the diet will greatly help Osteoarhritis pain.this man a few months ago said I will have you know I eat two large packages of debby cakes every day and I aint going to quit.so I simply as I left I touched his shoulder and said well I quess Gods going to have to heal you then, and left. didnt think any more about it at all.a few weeks later his wife saw me.and pulled her car over and told me that since you told him his pain would go away he has not had any pain and he could hardly raise his arm.and I told her that what I said was that God would have to heal him, and I assume he did.as faith simply opens one to the power of the force of the spirit of God, I of course have nothing to do with it. except of course I allow it to flow thru me .with this simple child like faith I have.
Its a sin to denie the Spirit of God, its the only unpardonable sin .God hears all of our prayers.Faith is the key.also love is vitaly emportant
Peace. Please Pray for Peace
No they don't - because God's not real.
How I can tell is the studies that have been conducted on prayer. The vast majority shows no difference. The most well-known study showed that the "prayed for" group acutally did worse.
Prayers are not meant to work, they are meant to connect. It depends if you have anyone on the other end of the line.
