If adam lived 930 yrs. how many sons and daughters did he have the were directly his. Think about it. how many children can parents have if it takes 9 months for one child to be born?. And if one divides 9 into 930 one could have 96,774 children give or take. WOW! that does not include any form of sets one may have in a life time. (twins, triplets etc) now if any set were born to them they would either double or triple. So were talking about over 100,000,or more.

if adam lived to be 930 yrs. how many sons and daughters would adam and eve have,? (not including sets) And all directly from adam and eve. How many children do you think parents could have. if it takes 9 months per child to be born? 930 divided by 9 = 103,000+ minus rthe 130 yrs before seth, was born. ( does not include sets) and if ones adds sets such as twins triplets etc. how many do you figure they had? give or take.

LOL.. yes but the real question (which is answered in the book of adam and eve that was conviently left out of the bible) is from those kids, who did they marry and have kids with if incest is a crime? Oh, that is right, each other lol. Actually in the book of adam and eve, which many christians will cuss at you for mentioning there is even any more books that could be out there, adam and eve had many sons and daughters.. if i remember correctly they had 3 daughters and 5 sons. Which later had children of their own. That book that was left out is a really good book. But it was left out and ruled on being left out because of the moral implications. There are also jubilees, the book of enoch, etc.. all very good books that probably should have stayed in. But there you go again, letting politicians decide the people's fates. now look what happened lol
As for asking god... one point came to mind..
you talking to god is praying
god talking back is schizophrenia

Well, I can't answer that question, but I can offer some insight. You can't divide Eve's lifespan into 9 month spans. You see, as a mother of two, I have educated myself on fertility. It can take, initially, a few months to a few years to conveive a child (usually a few months, if you know when you're fertile and are trying). Did Eve know when she was fertile? It may have taken her a while to figure this out. Remember, up until a couple hundred years ago, the menstrual cycle was not understood. Eve had no concept of the various hormones that regulated all of this. Second point: as there was no formula back then, Eve would have breastfed her children for at LEAST a year, but probably two years. She probably would have exclusively breastfed for a year to eighteen months at a minimum, since children don't acquire enough teeth to eat anything properly until about two years old, and food processors and Gerber weren't around. When you breastfeed exclusively, your fertility "shuts down". Usually pregnancies don't occur when a woman is exclusively breastfeeding (if you don't know what that is, it simply means the baby only drinks milk). So there would be 9 months, give or take a few weeks, plus about two years, plus a few more months (perhaps) before another conception, plus 9 more months for another baby.
Third point: Any kind of a war that Adam may have been in or if Eve was sick or just didn't feel like having sex would complicate your extrapolation.

Lets go back to math 1 The most children one woman can have (and Adam's wife was the mother of all living) is about one child per year. He (Adam) lived 930 years, but in all probability the bearing years were somewhat fewer. I would expect he had a hundred or so, though he might have had as many as 500. Where in the world did your number of 96774 come from?

Later in the Bible it says that 80 years old was old to be having children. That is why Sarah laughed when she heard she would be a mother at about 80 years old.
So say you have a child every 18 months, from say 15 year of age to 80 even. 65 years x12 months in a year/ 18 months between children that’s about 43 kids. The Bible definitely speaks of 3 sons, Cain Abel & Seth.
My Bible says:
Genesis 6:4 after the birth of Seth, Adam lived another 800 years, and he had other sons & daughters.
Not how many sorry!

Well, that is an interesting mathematical equation, but apart from demonstrating a theoretical capacity, it doesn't necessarily state anything else. The Bible doesn't state how many children in total that Adam and Eve conceived, because it isn't intended to be only or primarily a genealogy. The Bible doesn't state that Adam and Eve began having children immediately after being created, nor does it state that they conceived new children immediately, continuously, after giving birth.
Consider this: How long did your grandparents live? And how many children did they ACTUALLY have (not theoretically, by dividing 9 months into their total lifespans)?
Hope this helps. Best to you.

Help to understand your math. You were asking how many could be directly Adam's. Assuming 9 months to be baked in the oven and aa life span of 930, that comes to 1240. (9 mths being .75 years divided by 930.)
Either way that's a lot of kids.

Actually, you wouldn't divide 9 into 930. You'd rather divide 9 into the totall number of months he lived, which is 11,160. So 11,160 divided by 9 equals 1,240. But he still couldn't have technically had that many children because you don't start having children at age one. So I would say the most children he could have had, assuming he started having them as early as age 16, would've been 1,218.

I believe you're missing the point of God's Word. The reason for telling us about Adam is because he was the first man created and to tell us why this world is in the condition it is......Adam sinned. We can trace our history through Adam's sons (we are told in the Bible about those who have lessons for us to learn and so that we can better understand God and have a hope for our future)

I imagine that in those times Eve would of been prego clear into her 100's, maybe 200's. And something I have always wondered about, if Cain could marry his sister and Seth could marry anywhere from his sister to his niece or great niece, could Adam of had another wife(his daughter, etc)?Another wife wasn't mentioned in the Bible but it was never mentioned in Bible that Cain's wife was his sister. Who else would he marry?

That is why there are so many people, then God put a stop to those long lives and gave about 120 years or less.
