Most of you seem to be confused, I did not ask if god existed before creationism, I asked if creationists believed in god and then in creationism

Philosophically, an uncaused Cause must exist (due to the law of cause and effect). Therefore an infinite Being must exist before Creation (created by that Being) occured.

Depends on your basic brand of creationist. For the most part our PR stinks. You have your fundamental creationist and those with a modicum of knowledge of the Genesis mythology. Gen. 1=11 is the Bible Prequel, similar to a number of N East documents, intended to give the Faith Bible, Abraham and such. Gen. 12 ff a "pedigree." Standard practise in the literary circles of those days. Much of the creation story(s) is from the Babylonian Genesis and the Ugaritic Gilgamesh Epic with some fragments of still earlier sources.
Creationism - that a God interfaced/conquered chaos - it is attested in too many cultural mythologies for responsible science to ignore.
Literal creationism - it is neither meant as a science text book nor sustainable as some cosmic insight only to the Bible.

I think it is important to understand that 90% (I made this number up) of believers in god have never DECIDED to believe. They were told to believe, they were told that is the way that it is. They were indocrinated, scared, threatened, started saying prayers when they first learned to speak, practiced rituals before they could walk. They 'believe' in creationism via the same process. That is why logic, reason, and proof don't matter. They were told from the time they were born that 'faith' is much stronger.

They are two different related concepts. If you believe in God, it follows naturally that you'd believe that He created everything. On the other hand, if you believe that everything in this universe is too amazing to have occured by chance, then you will probably figure out that someone created it, and most likely then believe in God.

I believe in God the one that created the universe. I believe the universe was created by God.

Sort of simultaneous, I would think.

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host by the breath of His mouth. For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:9)

No. It's a simultaneous thing. Learn evolution and ditch religion, that's what I did. I'm smarter than I ever would have been if I were christian.

Well yes since God created everything He was already here. God was not created, something our brains can not fathom.
