I've seen alot of Q&A's here about wether or not its ok to eat meat and then out of nowhere people throw in the bible and also when you look up healthy eating theres always a site that tells you to become a vegetarian because its in the bible so have these people who write these things ever read the bible instead of just little bits here and there because in the bible although a good life is eating like adam and eve, Jesus himself ate fish and ate the passover meal. So don't argue using the bible anymore because you will get it twisted because shorthandedly the bible says if your faith is weak then don't eat meat but it also says that if you are strong in faith u can eat meat just thank God for whatever you are able to eat because God will judge you on what you did not on what you ate. The big sin is that meateaters and vegetarians are throwing stones at one another lets all get along because thats one thing u can use the bible to back up adn thats that God wants us all to love. peace

" Not that which goes into the mouth of a man defiles a man...but that which comes out of the heart....for out of the heart comes all evil, blasphemies, adulteries, ,...." - Jesus

I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but people read scripture differently. For example, to one person Goliath in the David and Goliath story was truly a giant. To another, he could have been an average size man with a giant reputation of being a warrior(my personal belief). Goliath could also be a metaphor for many things in life. People take what they want and need from scripture, and I do not believe that any two people read it the same way. Everyone gets it twisted into what they want.

Why does your question stop at food? Do the people that preach against homosexuals, stem cells and premarital sex actually read the bible as well?
The bible is an interpreted work, therefore each "follower" makes the individual choice of what to follow. In the end, we're all just regular people acting on our own urges and needs, and hiding behind a vague scripture only sugar-coats one's actions.

I believe Scripture is a good guide for our faith and for our actions. It would be good to read it all first, and have some understanding of the context of various rules. I would hope that the people asking the questions would be open to different ideas and if I suggest some practice that I believe to be helpful that the questioner would be moderately civil. Hey, I might be wrong, but then again, I might be right.

Why do no longer you examine the Bible your self and locate out? And sturdy, you're good correct to the blood area. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, the beef area is fantastic. do only no longer consume meat that still consists of blood. (Drain it first) No the place in the Bible does it say to no longer consume meat. In Acts, while they point out meat, they're bearing on meat that have been sacrificed to idols. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, meat grew to become into very lots a area of their foodstuff regimen. working example, the Israelites ate quail in the desolate tract, together as Jews (then and now) consume an entire lamb for the period of Passover.

no one has the right or authority to tell someone what to eat. if someone wants to eat pork eat pork if someone else doesnt dont, but dont tell the other its wrong, that is not living under the grace of our lord jesus. sure some things are healthier than others but its the individuals choice and it says to eat to the glory of God.

My friend just recently turned Muslim and hates that I eat pork.
I got tired of his complaining and finally told him, there is nothing he can say to stop me from changing my ways.
When I used to party hard he never preached, or told me to slow down.
But eating pork, there is no greater sin for him, apparently.
