a combination of fast digesting carbs and protein. you can get pre-made stuff that is in the right ratios, make your own shake with whey protein powder (which is what i do), or buy chocolate milk. the 1:3 protein: carb ratio is said to be excellent for post-workout fuel.

I usually eat a tuna salad sandwich (tuna and eggs are great for you) and get a drink from jamba juice.

Something "light" would be recommended. Soup/Salad/Sandwich maybe. Definitely nothing heavy like a steak and baked potato though.

ANYTHING HIGH IN PROTEIN!!!! you always need protein after you work out. wheather you want to build muscle or loose weight. protein repairs your muscles after you work out and adds an extra layer to your muscle to prevent them from breaking again. because when you work out you tear up all of your muscle tissue.
