The one that pops the best is the one with the most moisture within the kernel. That's because the heat makes the moisture explode the kernel.

From personal experience I've found that Orville Redenbacher pops the best but it all depends on how fresh it is.

Popcorn should be stored in the freezer to maintain it's moisture content.

Of all the corns I've tried I've found that orville redenbacher microwave pops almost all of the kernels if you listen for the popping and don't over cook.

Try the Boy Scout Popcorn - there is never an unpoped kernal in the bottom of the bag.

Most microwave popcorn pops well but all pop corn will leave a few "Old Maids"(unpopped kernels) but that is normal
