i hurt my back lifting weights the other day. (front-squating). when i racked the weights my back got very tight and it felt like i had to flex my back, when i stopped flexing or clenching my back, it became very painful. that was a couple of weeks ago, now i have pain when i move my neck up and down. what is wrong?

Sounds like you either have a pinched nerve or a pulled muscle. Both takes a few weeks to heal. See if you can handle the pain for another two weeks or so. If your still hurting you can go to a chiropractic or doctor to make sure it's nothing serious. Right now just take it easy on your muscles and try rubbing tiger balm on your neck and sore muscle areas.

U got muscle strain, put ice on it and take motrin.
lift lighter weights every other day.
keep ice bottle water in freezer for pain
20 min should get rid of the pain.
relax neck when u bend over instead of holdin it like a turtle up

spine is a chain....propably its from the muscles..a spasm or sth like that...Hot bath...and stretching
