Hair does, indeed, grow from the root.

Trimming hair doesn't make it grow faster. Hair grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch a month, depending on genetics, the season of the year, and nutritional levels of the person upon which the hair is growing.

However, regular trims will keep hair looking fuller and healthier (provided you don't damage it with chemical processes, such as tinting or perming/relaxing) because it removes the broken or split ends.

Trimming won't make your hair grow quicker, but it will maintain it. If you don't trim your hair then you will have split and broken hair which will eventually break off.

Your hair should be trimmed every 6 - 8 weeks.

Hair grows out your scalp, so grows from the root,

It grows from the roots (that's why peoples roots start to show when they dye or bleach their hair) and trimming does not effect your hair growth it's just healthy for the tips because you can get split ends.

Hair grows from the root. No, trimming does not make hair grow faster. However, if you trim your hair regularly, you will get rid of all of the dead ends which can make it seem like your hair is growing faster. Because if you don't trim the dead ends, all you have is broken, split, dead ends which can make hair appear a little shorter.

And what color is your hair? It grows from the middle both directions. NOT,

It grows from the roots. That is why when someone colors their hair, they need to get the roots colored after a few weeks.

I really dont think trimming has any effect on it. Except making it look nice. If you have a good stylist.

It definitely grows from the root. Trimming the ends just makes it look clean.

Hair grows from the last place it was cut because most often during cutting root remains imbedded.
I'm not going to be scientific, my personal experience is that
some hair depending on location on the body does grow back faster, thicker and coarser namely;
a) The Eybrows , b) Eyelashes ,d) Pubic Hair , e) Armpits

The truth is only the bodys hormones , genetics and the actual growth cycle of that part of your body influence the length of hair in these areas. So cutting is not a factor.

Hair grows from the root. Have you ever noticed dark haired people who die their hair blond how they have roots on top and yes trimming every 3-6 months will help your hair stay healthy and grow. Also if you braid your hair at night that can help make it grow. Hope I helped.
