Eggs contain sulphur - you may notice sometimes a blue tinge around the yolk, if you're unlucky - and if they're old, or overcooked, or left to cool and then kept for too long the sulphur starts to smell. I would guess that the makers of pre-packed sandwiches have got the avoidance of sulphur down to a fine art; if I had to try myself, I'd use new eggs, cook them only as much as absolutely necessary, and then peel and chop them the moment they were done. (I might even try poaching them instead). Hope that helps.

oooh tell me about it! Actually most egg sandwiches do stink but when you buy them they are usually fresh from the fridge cabinet of the supermarket, so the stink is contained. It's when you get them to room temperature that the sulphur smell starts to whiff a bit.
I've stunk out an office before now with egg sandwiches. And once, when my (ex)boss asked me to organise lunch for important clients, I got a whole load of eggy sarnies in early so, when they were brought into the conference room, they REALLY STUNK out the room. Heh, heh, got my revenge!

It could very easily be that you make your hard boiled eggs in an aluminum pan or you are cooking them too long. That contributes to a stronger smell. Switch to stainless steel. Start the eggs in cold water and heat until boiling. Then cook for 15 minutes and remove.
Also try more spices to cover up the smell.

because the pre packed ones are full of artificial eggs-read the label, you may be surprised at whats in them. A real egg has sulphur compounds, thus the smell.

They chemically treat the egg to reduce the sulfur smell. Better the natural smell of eggs than chemicals in your food. Also, If you over cook the egg(the yoke starts to turn dark0 you increase the Oder emission from the egg.

i might want to surely bypass to a sandwich keep even if the sandwich i purchased there become cooked or merely chilly cuts. i might want to purchase a %. of saltine crackers earlier a pre-packed sandwich. I actually have little doubt that a number of them are clean, yet they don't seem liek they are.
