Me and my girl have been dating for two months now and it seems as if we have been battling for our relationship for the longest. our first month was about me and my feelings toward my ex and this month its her ex coming back into her life. We are both over our ex's. We really want to be together and we really do love each other. We have only been dating officially for two months but we have been talkin for about five months. We feel that this is going to make us stronger for the future but we still question why we are going through this early on?

First of all... if your ENTIRE relationship has revolved around your ex's.... then you are OBVIOUSLY NOT over them!

Also, if you have only been together for 2 months... how do you know that you LOVE each other? That is really fast! Don't get me wrong... some people know that quickly, but it is very rare.

Finally, I would have to say, if you want your relationship to last - stop focusing on the past "loves" in your lives and start looking at why you are with your current girlfriend!

Good luck!

You're going through this early on becasue it is important for a lasting relationship to work that both people are open with one another and are able to resolve all situations that could interfere with your relationship. Better you talk about it and are comitted to each other than that you let it be an unspoken source of tension.

Every new relationship usually starts off rocky but over time, things should be much smoother.
