Thinking again, in my head as opposed to that other place men think with, naturally could easily be thought of as being taken by lions, crocodile, hyena etc. My actual thought though was what percentage die by natural causes in the sense of old age, broken hearts etc etc

Probably none, if they weaken they will be targeted by predators.

since very few wildebeest are directly killed by man/women the answer is 100% die from natural disease, predation, acident or old age.

If you want to figure out how many are killed by habitat destruction, pollution and climate change then good luck. Environmentalists have been trying to account the real world cost of human activities for decades, but economists and big business which most benifit for exploitation of "free" commons will always dispute it.

The percentage of wildebeest that die of old age is teeny! Most of them die from broken hearts well before middle age, this is due entirely to the fickleness of wilderbeest, it is a self inflicted problem and I advise no sympathy.

Widebeest you say?
There's so many of them that I reckon a good 90% of them make it, Maybe until middle age, not old age though..
Ask Richard Attenborough.
