No, only very few animals such as upper level primates, elephants and dolphins are capable of recognize their own image in a mirror. Other animals don't quite have the self-consciousness required to recognize ones self.

Some dogs don't recognize themselves and think they are looking at another dog. They try to play with or bark at the image they see in the mirror.
However, most dogs that I've met have absolutely no interest in their own image in a mirror. This makes me believe that they DO recognize it as an "image" of themselves and thus display no interest in it.

Yes and no. When my new puppy saw "another dog" in the mirror an started barking and jumping at the mirror but my other older dog looks at hte mirror and knows it is him and just keep walking. So i guess itt takes a while for dogs to relize "hey thats me in the mirror!"

I think they are more likely to. Cats don't and birds love looking at themselves in the mirror. Sometimes dogs can look in the mirror, but they don't know what they are looking at.

My poodle sees herself in the glass on the entertainment center and barks like crazy. She thinks it is another dog and she really gives that "other dog" a piece of her mind! So funny!
