Animals usually chew things to soothe their teeth and gums, like a baby with a teething ring. Sometimes they do it for attention as well. Best way to deal with it is to keep the things you don't want chewed away from the dog.

JRT's are famous for doing crazy things.
But eating any type of cloth can be dangerous.
He is just bored...give him a job to do. You can
get a little back pack at the pet store and make
him carry something around to use up all that
extra energy. My dog just loves it. He even loves
it going for a walk. You know walking a JRT is
like walking the energizer bunny. He gets much
better exercise with his back pack.

jack russle's are very hyper energetic dogs esspecially when they're young. you need to dog proof your house as best as you can. keep things that you don't want chewed out of his reach. make sure that plenty of chew toys are available to him. he's going to need a lot of daily exercise and attention. also crate training is not cruel. it'll keep him and your house safe when you're not home.

Puppies throw up all the time, I know this cause I once had a puppy. Now she's a dog! But look it up on line to see if it's harmful.

It is a nervous habit. Does he only do it when you leave him by himself? Dogs are very dependant animals. When they are left alone they act out because they feel insecure. There are sprays that you can buy to make the dog want to even come close to the items you don't want him to mess with.
