She is white with light tan colored ears, and she has a completely black toungue! Shes a very skinny dog, she doesn't gain weight very well. She's just a small type of dog...Any ideas on what she may be?? She's got the head and tail of a German Shepherd Dog, but no moles like they have, unless we just can't see them in the pic?

Maybe crossed with yellow lab?

She's really cute... looks like a total sweetheart.

I used to live in Va Beach. It's awesome there. I still have a bunch of family in the Haygood area.

Just so you know, the link doesn't work...

Any dog that has black on it's tongue has got pigmented coat in it's genes. Chows, Chinese Shar-Pei and labs frequently have black tongues. Breeds well known to have black spotted tongues: Airedale, Akita, Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, Belgian Sheepdog, Belgian Tervuren, Belgian Malinois, Bichon Frise, Bouvier de Flandres, Bull Mastiff, Cairn Terrier, Chinese Shar-Pei, Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Dalmatian, Doberman Pinscher, English Setter, Eurasier, Fila Brasileiro, Flat-coated Retriever, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Gordon Setter, Great Pyrenees, Irish Setter, Kai Ken, Keeshond, Korean Jindo, Labrador Retriever, Mastiff, Mountain Cur, Newfoundland, Pomeranian, Pug, Rhodesian Ridgeback Rottweiler, Shiba Inu, Siberian Husky, Tibetan Mastiff.

Hope this helps.

The link that you put up doesnt work unless we have a membership with Kodak. Sorry. Its kind of weird that your dogs tongue would be black though. Take her to the vet she might have an illness unless that is just what she was born with. And I cant get on myspace because I dont have one. Sorry again. You should put her picture on your avater thing.

I can tell you this without looking at the pic. Some breeds have a black tongue. I know a chow has a black tongue because I used to have a couple. Hope this helps you out.

she definetely looks to me like she is a Shepard/Lab?Chow mix.
She is very cute and doesn't look too skinny to me.
Try feeding a food with a higher fat content and not corn as the first ingredient if you want her to gain a little weight

i dont want to sign up to look....a dog at a heathy weight does look kind of skinny. You should be able to see the first 2 ribs, but only slightly. They should not be sticking out. If your dog is underweight, try feeding her puppy food. It has more protien and fat to bulk up growing puppies. Feed half puppy food and half dog food
