well me and my boyfriend have been together for 9 months now...and I can't help but feel...well...a little bored....I want something new...even though I love him with all my heart. We're only 15 and I've tried explaining to him that we shouldn't be tied down to one person but he makes me feel bad and is like "I could never get bored of you I love you soo much" I don't want to hurt him...but I'm hurting myself by staying with him because I'm pretty much miserable....there's other people that I want to try and date.....I just don't know what I should do...I'll be uspet either way cuz I do want him....I just want to date other people at the same time :{ please help! any advice greatly appreciated....and if someone says to let him go...please give me good advice on what's the best and least hurtful way! I'm not good at breaking off relationships.

You may not necessarily have to break it off with him, you do however, have to be completely honest and tell him that you will be dating other people. He will either go away on his own unable to handle that, or realize that you have the need to spread your wings a little. You can minimize some pain just with your tone and body language and being truthful to what you say. Like right after telling him this don't act so much like his gf as in holding hands or whatever. That will confuse him and cause him more hurt in the long run. Just tell him that you have to make yourself happy, because if you are not happy you can't possibly be happy with anyone else. Try not to dwell on how much you are hurting him, that will make you feel worse, instead point out the positive, give him some space, and live your life the way you need and want to.

You can tell him that you think you two need a little bit of a break. I wouldn't tell him that you are bored-that would probably hurt his feelings. I had friends that were tied down to the same guy for years throughout high school, and they just don't come out of it okay. They wind up breaking up after years, and then they just have a string of bad relationships after that. It's like they almost don't know who they are anymore, b/c they were so caught up in the "two of them" for so many years. Just tell him that you don't want years to go by, and regret that you missed out on going out with your friends and stuff.... you don't really have to tell him that you want to see other guys. Just don't cheat on him! Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean. If you feel you're too young to be tied down then don't let him stop you. If you continue to allow him to control your desicions than you're going to be with a LOT longer than you want to. He'll get over it eventually, don't worry too much about that. Of course he'll be upset and probably say things to get you back or feel bad but do not let him do that to you. Don't feel bad..if you're bored you're bored! Move on hun, find something more exciting!

well even thou u are young doesnt mean u have to date other ppl if things are good then y would u want to i dont understand. but if u dont love him anymore then u should tell him because it will be worst if u keep playing him like that it will hurt him even more the longer the relationship goes on. i mean if u love him then u should stay with him because its going to be hard to find a guy that will stay with you that long in high school since a lot of guys want to move from girl to girl but u no u should be glad he doesnt. u really dont say much about ho ur relationship is so i really dont no wat else to say but follow ur heart sounds clich but u might regret it if u dont.

There is no easy way of this.........you'll break his heart, one way or another. This can't be sugar coated......you'll need to tell him straight out. And it may take him a while to get over you. But just realize one thing......if you leave him, you may never get him back. He may eventually find another girl and fall in love with her.....right when you want him back. So this also needs to be considered. Think about all of this very hard, and don't make any quick decisions. Best of luck to you.

If you cheat you are going to him anyway and in the worst way possible. Just say you want time to figure out what you want.. you're only 15!! You are too young to be committed!! Just don't be mean.. your boyfriend of 9 months deserves better!!

you just have to let him go, say "........ i think we need to take some time off" trust me you will miss him but remember this, your to good for him.
