I have a 18 month old son, and i try to feed him many times a day but he keeps spitting out food, could he be full? How do you know how much food is enough and even if he is full or not?

If he is a year and a half old he probably doesn't want you feeding him,he should be able to feed himself...Try foods he can eat on his own.You will know if he isn't full because he will be upset. If he seems happy he is fine.

18 months is a fun age. Don't worry, don't count, and don't look. Just offer at least three meals and two snacks of mostly healthy foods and he will eat what he wants when he is hungry. He may just be going through a phase, he may be full, he may just be toddler wierd (a special brand of wierd that all toddlers are at some point). If you make food an issue, it will always be an issue for him. If you offer good food and just eat to be healthy, he will too.
Good luck

He might be full - little kids only eat when they're hungry, or he might not like the texture of the foods you're giving him. (Are you giving him jarred baby foods?) Try offering him small pieces of whatever you're eating - especially if he can pick up in his fingers and put it in his mouth. (Don't freak over any mess - it's normal and part of learning. If you have a dog, the dog will LOVE it!)

If he is spitting it out that is a pretty good sign that he is full.
